Dia De Los Muertos Museum®

The Dia de Muertos Museum® is located inside the Fiesta At North Star building (on our second floor) in San Antonio. The museum showcases Mexican culture and traditions through handmade art pieces and decorations from a private collection that took more than 30 years to curate. Dia de Muertos is one of the few Mexican traditions that goes deep into Mexico’s soul and history, so we decide to showcase it to fully explain Mexico as a country, its art, and people.

The museum offers a sensory experience with light effects and pre-Columbian music to explain the complex history of Dia de Muertos. Visitors can also explore 13 unique ofrendas dedicated to different people and honor loved ones who have passed away. Our videos throughout the exhibit will explain in detail the history, the altars, and culture.

Overall, the Dia de Muertos Museum offers a self-guided tour that lasts up to 40 minutes, but visitors can skip any segment they choose. It’s an excellent way to experience and appreciate Mexican culture and traditions.
